Meet the Pilot Behind the Lens

Appalachian Drone Works is operated by Adam Campbell, an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot and videographer based in Johnson City, Tennessee. From mountain ridgelines to construction sites, Adam brings enterprise-grade aerial technology to businesses across East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina.

Matrice 4t

Every mission is flown with one of our DJI drones. For creative missions we fly the Mavic 3 Pro Cine, Mini 5 Pro or Avata 2 FPV drones. We use the Matrice 4E and 4T models — both professional-grade enterprise drones for all of the thermal imaging and mapping missions.

Ground-based video and photography is shot on a Sony Alpha 9III, Sony FX2 or FX30 cinema cameras. All operations are FAA Part 107 certified, fully insured, and supported by mobile charging via a TRD Pro 4Runner — meaning we can reach remote locations and create the images you need to tell your brand’s story!

Video Setup

This region deserves professional-quality video production and aerial services without the big-city price tag. When I started Appalachian Drone Works, the goal was simple — give small businesses in East Tennessee access to the same high-quality video production and aerial services, drone footage, thermal inspections, and precision mapping that larger companies pay a premium for elsewhere.

The Appalachian landscape is some of the most visually striking terrain in the eastern United States. It’s where I work, where my clients operate, and where I’m committed to building a business that serves the community long-term.

Whether you need a social media content, branding images, a solar panel inspection, or a full orthomosaic map of a construction site — you’ll work directly with me, start to finish.
